You’d have to be living under a rock somewhere not to notice that “going green” has become somewhat of a fad. Yes, since the very first paparazzo lens caught a celeb toting her “I’m not a plastic bag” bag, appearing to do the right thing for the sake of our Mother Earth is what’s hot. It is pretty difficult not to follow suit, I must admit. I mean, I’ve been a recycler and I don’t by styrofoam but I’m not at my local organic supermarket seeking out organic beef and milk, either. I am certain these products are better for me but at the same time, I’ve been eating high quality non-organic foods up ’til now and so far, so good. Read the rest of this entry »

Have I not been super excited about the release of this movie since, hmmm, I don’t know – forever?! I have got big plans, people, big plans for this Friday night. Myself and my equally obsessed pal set these plans about a month ago and have been anxiously awaiting Friday May, 30th ever since! If there is anyone who does not know what I am talking about you might as well just stop reading now…not just today, for the rest of time. Somewhere between staring past my computer screen into the abyss that is my office and it taking what seemed like 8 years as opposed to 8 hours for the day to end, I decided that I was going to start my weekend a tad early. And what better timing.

For some odd reason, I have been jonesing for a particularly delicious specialty martini offered by my favorite neighborhood martini bar, the Frappletini – tiniI’m sure they have it copyrighted. It is a beautifully created concoction consisting of chilled espresso, vanilla vodka, Godiva liquer and cream all shaken over ice and strained for your enjoyment. Let me tell you, it is pure sunshine in a glass. Part of the reason this is my fave tini hotspot is because this very fine libation is exclusively offered here; the other part, they are one of the very few establishments to run half-off tini specials one day each week.
